(GE) 一般密集英語課程 | General English classes are offered from Levels 1-6 (pre-elementary to advanced). Students receive 25 hours of tuition per week and classes are designed to develop fluency and accuracy in speaking, writing and understanding. Entry Requirements: No specific requirement. Students are placed in an appropriate level following a placement test on the first day of the session. Length: 5-45 weeks (5 week modules). |
English for Academic Purposes
(EAP) 學術英語 | English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programs are designed for students intending to enter university, TAFE or vocational study programs in institutions in Australia or other English speaking countries. Courses are offered at higher intermediate and advanced levels and concentrate on developing listening, speaking, reading, writing and study skills necessary for post-English study and training programs. EAP also provides specific preparation for the IELTS test. Entry Requirements: Higher Intermediate: IELTS 5.0 (5 in Speaking & Writing)/TOEFL 520/197 (TWE 3); Advanced: IELTS 5.5 (6 in Speaking & Writing, 5 in Listening & Reading)/TOEFL 550/220 (TWE 4). Length: 5, 10 or 20 weeks (5 week session commencing January only) |
Advanced English Communication Skills
(AECS) 進階英語溝通技巧 | The Advanced English Communication Skills (AECS) course is designed to challenge advanced learners of English and to develop communication skills and fluency, especially through cooperative project work, such as producing a radio play or a short video. Students receive 25 hours of tuition per week. Entry Requirements: IELTS 5.5 (6 in Speaking & Listening, 5 in Reading & Writing) or equivalent as determined by ICTE-UQ/TOEFL 550/220 (TWE 4). Length: 5-20 weeks (5 week modules). |
English for International Business Communication
(EIBC) 國際商業溝通英語 | English for International Business Communication (EIBC) courses offer 25 hours of tuition per week and are specifically designed for students interested in improving their English language skills for a business context. Courses are offered at Higher Intermediate and Advanced levels and include oral presentation skills, listening skills, business simulation, case studies, computer skills incorporating email and internet access, and visits and lectures with a business focus. Entry Requirements: Higher Intermediate -IELTS 5.0 (5 in Speaking & Writing)/TOEFL 520/197 (TWE 3); Advanced -IELTS 5.5 (6 in Speaking & Writing)/TOEFL 550/220 (TWE 4). English for Special Purposes: TESOL
(ESP: TESOL) 英語教學劍橋證書 | The English for Special Purposes: TESOL (ESP: TESOL) program provides participants with English language and English teaching knowledge development and incorporates the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). |
Academic Communication Skills
(ESP - ACS) 大學準備英語 | Academic Communication Skills (ESP-ACS) is an intensive three-week program and is offered prior to the start of each University semester to provide students with specialised communication and academic skills training needed for successful study. This program is highly recommended for students from non-English speaking backgrounds prior to university course commencement.
Entry Requirements: Confirmed acceptance into a UQ degree program. Length: 3 weeks.

| English & Degree Packages 英語 + 學位課程組合 | The University of Queensland and ICTE-UQ offer English & Degree Packages for those candidates who are academically acceptable for a UQ program, but who need to improve their English language proficiency before commencing their degree studies. Such candidates may be offered a conditional place in a UQ program with a separate program of English language tuition to be undertaken at ICTE-UQ before the commencement of the degree program. Candidates take the IELTS test after completing their English language studies at ICTE-UQ and if they satisfy UQ's English language requirements, they will then be made an unconditional offer for their chosen academic program.
